Today over 700 VA nurse anesthetists provide anesthesia care for some 5 million American veterans in VAMCs located throughout the United States.
The AVANA Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the advancement of VA Nurse Anesthesia. The AVANA Scholarship Fund provides yearly scholarships to VA nurses who are enrolled in an accredited nurse anesthesia program and are planning to work for the VA upon graduation. Nurse anesthesia programs are vital to ensure delivery of quality anesthesia care for our veteran patients.

The AVANA Scholarship Fund depends entirely on individual member donations for all of its funding.
